Step 6 of 6
Point of contact confirmation
Confirm one email address for program follow-up.
Why this step exists
One reliable contact keeps follow-up from stalling, and keeps the neighborhood's Community Secure Score™ reports going to the right person.
It also makes renewal simple: when it is time to refresh, there is a known place to send it.
Criteria
- One name, one role, and one email address that reaches a real person.
- The contact is one of the organizers named in step one, or reports to them.
- A shared association or management inbox is acceptable if someone monitors it.
- The neighborhood states how it will notify the program if the contact changes.
What to prepare
- A short written confirmation with the name, role, and email address.
- For an HOA or management group, a letter or email on association letterhead works.
- Saved as a PDF, JPG, PNG, or WebP file up to 10 MB.
What an accepted submission looks like
A brief signed note: “Oakvale HOA designates the board secretary as the program point of contact at secretary@oakvalehoa.example. If the role changes, the incoming secretary will notify the program.”
Common reasons a submission is returned
- Two or more contacts are given with no primary one.
- The email address belongs to someone who is not involved in the program.
- A phone number is provided instead of an email address.
Participation is voluntary. Completing this step does not guarantee certification or any specific security outcome. Homeowners keep control of their own security devices and recordings; the program does not collect or redistribute resident video.
